Have you seen this movie? I love it! I originally saw it in theaters, and then gave it to my mom for Christmas. This movie makes me want to cook everything, and cook everything with mounds of butter. It's a great story and is very inspiring. I would love to attempt something like Julie Powell, nothing as crazy as Julia Child's cook book.. but perhaps something a little smaller? If you haven't seen the movie... you should!
P.S I'm also reading "My Life in France" by Julia Child.
So far it has been good! I'll keep you posted. :)

I absolutley loved this movie and it totally makes me want to cook too, I mean I aldready enjoy it and do it, but this movie makes me want to be a chef lol! :)..It was defenietly good.
ReplyDeleteI totally wanted to see this movie, but I hadn't enough time.. what a pitty, it sounds great - I adore to cook! hmm, well, maybe I'll get it from the video store..
ReplyDeleteI want to see the movie, but I'm afraid if I get it that it will inspire me to cook more, and with butter, and that's such a diet killer...but what a way to go, right? lol
ReplyDeleteJulia somehow lived into her 90's.. she was like the Paula Deen of her time!
ReplyDeleteI saw this one in theaters too...the audience clapped at the end we loved it so much :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about this movie. I'm a little leary because I HATED the book so much. Apparently Julia Child did not approve of the project Julie was undertaking with the cooking. But the book was so horrible, the movie has to be better. And I think the movie incorporates more of Julia's story from what I can tell. I'll have to check it out sometime soon!
ReplyDelete@Nicole: Oh no! Which book did you hate? The book "Julie & Julia" or Julia's book?
