Skillet Lasagna
Whatcha Need:
1 Pound extra lean (at least 93%) ground beef or turkey
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/3 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 Jar Newman's Own organic pasta sauce (25.3 ounces)
1 1/2 Cups Water
1 Tablespoon Ketchup
3 Cups (6 oz) uncooked mini lasagna noodles (mafalda) ** Any other pasta would work
1 Green Bell Pepper
1 Teaspoon Dried Basil Leaves
1 Cup reduced fat Italian cheese blend
How to do it:
Boil pasta until its almost ready, it will continue to cook in the skillet
In a 12 inch nonstick skillet, cook meat, onion and garlic, stirring occasionally until meat is fully cooked. drain.
Add remaining ingredients except cheese. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat to low, simmer uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. sprinkle with cheese.
This was so easy! It honestly took a half an hour to cook and get on the table. The recipe isn't that bad for your gut either, For one serving, it's only about 300 calories! We had it with garlic bread and salad. It was a fantastically easy Monday meal.
